Job Responsibilities:
- Acts as a system integration and test engineer for OTA campaigns and works closely with the overseas customers, managers and other teams in our office in Atlanta, GA
- Responsible for discussing & defining the test scope with developers, testing team, and management
- Support preparing the vehicles by updating ECU’s and diagnostic routines, based on the required configurations
- Set-up of the OTA campaign in the IT backend tools
- Creating test runs based on pre-defined global test sets and writing test cases for market specific features
- Execution of multiple over-the-air update interactions by triggering the update campaign from our IT backend infrastructure
- Performing scripted and exploratory E2E tests, documenting the results and submitting defects including necessary artifacts (log files, screenshots, etc.)
- Being responsible for making a market release recommendation based on the test results
- Ability to communicate effectively, solve problems, be a creative thinker and work as a team in a multi-project environment
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees
- Continually build on self-knowledge through learning on the job, training when offered and other development opportunities
- Regularly participate on test drives with focus on various telematics applications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of professional work experience
- Practical experience working with ECUs, vehicle diagnostics, and software flashing or updates (OTA experience strongly preferred)
- Experience with embedded systems, telematics, infotainment, ADAS, or connected vehicle technologies
- Ability to interpret and work with software and hardware requirements, system specifications, and test plans
- Familiarity with end-to-end testing methodologies, defect tracking, and root cause analysis
- Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and logging systems (e.g., CAN-based tools, trace/log analysis)
- Familiarity with ISO-9001
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system interactions across software and hardware
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical findings
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to participate in vehicle testing and test drives
Preferred Qualifications:
- R&D Engineering experience with focus on Connected Vehicles
- Working knowledge of over-the-air updates (OTA) in the automotive industry
- Knowledge of agile product development methods such as SCRUM is an advantage
- Experience in the area of CAN/Ethernet signal analysis of EE systems
- ISTQB Certified Tester or similar qualification
