Working towards this goal, Volue has become a leading technology supplier and enabler of the green transition, helping energy companies simplify and optimize everyday operations.

We are now looking for a Development Cyber Security Lead who can help us to continuously improve Volue's ability to protect its products and customers. This entails establishing and implementing best practices and standards for cyber security across product development, ensuring our solutions are built, deployed and operated securely. In order to achieve this, you will be working closely with our CISO, development department leaders, architects and IT Operations teams across the company.

What you will be doing to make a difference:

  • Roll out, improve and extend binding cyber security standards across Development and Operations in close cooperation with Heads of Departments and IT Operations

  • Define and implement processes, tools and procedures to reach security targets efficiently and economically

  • Drive and coordinate cyber security status assessments across all products, solutions and operations — including third-party and open-source components

  • Support plans for reaching CS standards per product and solution, aligned with business needs and current security status

  • Implement processes to detect and remove new vulnerabilities in a timely manner, and support the emergency plan for critical vulnerability response

  • Establish regular reporting on CS status, new vulnerabilities and progress on mitigation and standards adherence

  • Support development, rollout and follow-up of relevant security training for developers

What you need to succeed:

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or an equivalent field with a focus on software development

  • Education or substantial experience in Cyber Security, ideally with relevant certifications (Project Management certification a plus)

  • At least 3 years of experience in software development, ideally including 1 year in a team lead role

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Cyber Security

  • Experience managing projects across teams or departments

  • Good understanding of software development practices, including agile methodologies

  • Experience assessing third-party and open-source components for security risks is an advantage

  • Structured, self-driven and able to lead laterally across organizational boundaries

  • Strong communication skills in English — both verbal and written

  • Ability to build buy-in for change, and to push topics forward when needed

Reasons to join the Volue team and what we offer:

  • Large degree of influence in shaping & developing the role further

  • Great colleagues in one of Europe's most exciting green tech companies with an innovative and international work environment

  • Flexible working hours & competitive compensation package

The position reports to the CISO and cooperates closely with Development department leaders, Application and Enterprise Architects, and IT Operations. We are looking to hire for a Volue office but will be ready to consider other locations for the right candidate.

In Volue, we cherish each employee's competence, ideas and personality. Let your skills and talent be a part of our team – and let us leave our mark on the world together!
