Essential Duties:
  • Effectively communicate and maintain positive working relationships with Young Life leadership, DGL country coordinators (within the division), program graduates, and current students.
  • Facilitate all aspects of the DGL application and onboarding processes, including:
    • Call for nominations
    • Communicating program expectations
    • Conducting interviews
    • Providing recommendations for participant selection
    • Collaborating with local staff regarding expectations and support for new students
    • Documenting the onboarding process, outlining specific steps (and making adjustments as needed), and overseeing onboarding
    • Assist students throughout the program application process, including reviewing and approving applications
    • Prepare student biographies for donor communication and presentation
    • Signing participation agreements with program participants
  • Assist in confirming and preparing wire transfer amounts with the US office. Regularly monitor, review, and approve the timely completion of student reports, including:
    • Blogs (review, make corrections if necessary, publish)
    • Progress reports (2 times per year)
    • Transcripts (at the end of each semester)
    • Monthly scholarship receipt confirmations (signed by both the student and the local staff member who distributed the scholarship)
    • University tuition payment receipts (when needed, assist local staff with paying university tuition directly from the organization's account)
  • Build and maintain relationships with local staff and mentors on how to support and develop DGL students, regularly providing the necessary resources.
  • Assist in planning DGL events and reunions.
  • Collaborate with local leadership to integrate DGL students into the country's vision and encourage their participation in all relevant trainings, leadership development opportunities, and conferences.
  • Participate in regular Zoom calls with other DGL staff.
  • Maintain the database of DGL students, graduates, and current updates on employment and Young Life involvement for program graduates.
  • Continue engagement with DGL graduates, tracking updates, employment data, and Young Life involvement.
  • Participating in or facilitating effective student off-boarding:
    • Final interview
    • Feedback form
    • Maintaining relationships with alumni
  • At opportune times (leadership meetings, trainings, etc.), collect stories, quotes, photos, and videos for presentation to donors and prayer supporters.
  • Encourage students to share Young Life updates on social media and maintain active, up-to-date social media accounts.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for program growth and impact.

Education / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Completion of the DGL Program is preferred
  • Must be able to speak and write in English
