Position Overview and Objective
The Arctic Wolf security operations platform ingests and processes upwards of 250 billion events a day from a wide variety of on-premise devices and cloud platforms. The security pipeline is a distributed system of loosely-coupled microservices that constitute our real-time analysis and threat detection systems. These services distill the incoming events into actionable intelligence that our Concierge Security Teams use to protect customers.We are growing rapidly, with our data volume increasing ten-fold roughly every two years. We are looking for experienced developers to join our pack and work with us to continuously evolve and expand the capabilities of our security platform.
Responsibilities:
As a Developer at ARCTIC WOLF, you will:
• Build scalable microservices, MCP tools, and analytics services
• Understand datasets, schemas, relationships, and business semantics to design
accurate data solutions
• Design and optimize data retrieval, query execution, enrichment, and analysis
workflows
• Develop integrations with Databricks, OpenSearch, PostgreSQL, and other
enterprise data platforms
• Translate business and analytical requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Optimize SQL queries, data models, and data access patterns
• Ensure reliability, scalability, security, and observability of services
• Architect, design, develop, test and deliver software in an agile environment
• Deploy containerized services to production after your changes are merged, in
keeping with our culture of Continuous Integration and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Mentor and guide junior developers through code reviews and technical
discussions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Security, and Data
Engineering to define technical direction.

Experience and Requirements:
3-5 years of software development experience
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Proven ability to understand datasets, schemas, data relationships, and
business semantics
• Experience identifying relevant data sources and designing data retrieval and
analysis strategies
• Experience building microservices and distributed systems
• Experience developing data-intensive services, platform integrations, or
analytics applications
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
• Experience building or integrating MCP tools, AI-powered applications, or natural
language interfaces
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Nice to have:
• Experience with Databricks, OpenSearch, Spark, Snowflake, or PostgreSQL
• Experience with LLMs, tool calling, retrieval systems, or conversational analytics
• Experience in cybersecurity, observability, analytics, or enterprise software.
