Responsibilities:
- Actively engage with community across multiple platforms and provide guidance.
- Lead communication and engagement with practitioners to ensure they are informed, supported, and address concerns to create stability and trust
- Serve as the voice and advocate of the community for inside the organization, ensuring the needs of the community are communicated effectively and addressed
- Monitor community channels to ensure all discussions on respectful, on topic, and follow community guidelines, support creation of guidelines and policies
- Work closely with sales engineering, support, and services teams who actively engage with technical practitioners of our products to gain insights on content strategies
- Create content (blogs, webinar, podcasts, etc) that is for practitioners in cloud and infrastructure operations with the use of Puppet and related technologies in working with marketing
- Organize and participate in events (virtual or in-person) to engage with community members and customers, own a calendar and budget in conjunction with marketing
- Provide support to additional products/brands as needed, adjacent to Puppet in the platform operations space
Requirements:
- Technical education (Computer Science or related fields)
- Deep comfort with technical systems and tooling (Puppet, Public Cloud)
- Strong ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams
- 5+ years of community management or similar experience in practitioner relations
- Examples of previously published written, video, and/or event speaker content
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Reddit, Slack, GitHub)
- Excellent written and verbal skills, with a strong command and confidence when presenting technical information at conference, webinars, etc. Strong proficiency in English.
- Experience with content creation, event coordination, and engagement strategies
