We are currently seeking a Senior Java Developer: The Challenge (Responsibilities): Design, develop, and implement robust backend applications using Java and microservices architecture. Apply advanced design patterns to build scalable, maintainable, and highly efficient software solutions. Implement and manage application workloads within Kubernetes environments. Collaborate seamlessly with global engineering teams based in Sweden to gather requirements and deliver high-quality technical products. Work fully on-site in the Reforma area for the first 4 months to facilitate onboarding and core project alignment, transitioning smoothly to a hybrid model thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust backend applications using Java and microservices architecture.
• Apply advanced design patterns to build scalable, maintainable, and highly efficient software solutions.
• Implement and manage application workloads within Kubernetes environments.
• Collaborate seamlessly with global engineering teams based in Sweden to gather requirements and deliver high-quality technical products.
• Work fully on-site in the Reforma area for the first 4 months to facilitate onboarding and core project alignment, transitioning to a hybrid model thereafter.

Your Profile (Requirements)

• Senior-level proficiency and proven experience as a Java Developer (experience with Java 21 is highly desirable).
• Mastery and practical application of software design patterns.
• Extensive hands-on experience building microservices architectures and using the Quarkus framework. (Must to have)
• Strong understanding of and practical experience operating within Kubernetes ecosystems.
• High-performance mindset: Resilience, emotional intelligence, and a focus on agile delivery.

Desirable

• Knowledge of cloud fundamentals or experience with AI-powered coding assistants.

Languages

• Advanced English: For seamless collaboration with global teams.
• Native Spanish.

Special Notes

• The position requires working fully on-site at our client's offices in Reforma, Mexico City, for the first 4 months. After this initial period, the work arrangement shifts to a hybrid model.
