Job Description
The Accounting Development Group is responsible for developing core business applications that enable our world-wide network to efficiently manage and transport freight via collaborative internal and customer facing systems.
As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for the design and production of our core business systems. These systems satisfy customer and organization business requirements and provide solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. The developer understands business problems and opportunities and applies technical skills in the design, development and testing of data flows, applications, and systems.
The position is responsible for driving project technical direction and decisions.
This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in at least one Object Oriented language.
- Excellent object-oriented design and development skills.
- Experience designing and developing business applications using Core Java.
- Familiar with object-relational mapping frameworks such as Hibernate.
- Experience using Spring Core and familiar with other Spring modules.
- Familiar with messaging and the concept of sending and receiving business events.
- Ability to write statements using Structured Query Language (SQL) to create, read, update, and delete rows in a relational database.
- Experience building UIs using JavaScript.
- Desire to work in an Agile environment.
- Proven interpersonal skills and team focused.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years employment experience using Object Oriented Programming.
- Proficient in Core and Advanced Java (Java 8+).
- Familiar with Advanced Java topics such as web services and database connectivity.
- Experience developing applications with Spring Transactions and Spring ORM (e.g., Spring JPA, Spring Hibernate).
- Familiar with Event Streaming, especially using the Kafka framework.
- UI development experience using Angular (preferred) or AngularJS.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent job-related experience.
- Experience with Eclipse or IntelliJ IDE's, various plug-ins, Git, Maven, Nexus.
- Understanding of the transportation/global logistics industry.
- CI/CD knowledge.

Additional Information
Expected base salary: $100,000 to $145,000
