Job Description:
We are seeking skilled and motivated Backend Data Engineers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and backend systems that power our applications and analytics platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data flow, storage, and processing, enabling high-performance and scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
- Develop and optimize backend services and APIs to support data-driven applications.
- Implement best practices for data modeling, storage, and retrieval in relational and NoSQL databases.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and application developers to deliver reliable and efficient data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in data workflows and backend systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, BE, B.Tech, MCA.
- Data File Format Understanding: Familiarity with formats such as Parquet, CSV, TSV, or JSON.
- Spark Proficiency: Strong understanding of Spark and logical problem-solving skills.
- Data Warehouse Knowledge: Good understanding of at least one data warehouse, such as Apache Hive, Snowflake, or MS Fabric. Alternatively, experience with any data warehouse used in the current project.
- Database Expertise: Good understanding of at least one database, such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server. Alternatively, experience with any database used in the current project.
- Additional Skills: Fundamental understanding of any streaming data technology, cloud services, Linux and AKS is a plus.
