Opportunity
We are looking to add an experienced Developer Experience (DevEx) Engineer to our growing engineering team in Seoul! Our ideal candidate is an experienced DevEx engineer who has designed and built tools and infrastructure to improve the productivity, satisfaction, and overall flow in the development process. This candidate should be able to understand developer needs and translate those into tangible tools to improve developer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with your internal customers - the developers - to identify pain points, workflow optimizations, and development environment improvements.
- Design and build tools, IDEs, infrastructure, and services that improve the daily life and productivity of UJET engineers.
- Participate in design and architectural discussions to ensure that developers are represented in new features and services.
- Provide clear status updates on projects in a timely manner
- Participate in on-call duties as needed
- Participate in meetings as required
Requirements
- A strong interest and background in improving developer experience
- 5+ years production experience with one or more public Cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure). GCP Preferred.
- 5+ years experience operating Kubernetes environments in production.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes Operators and operator patterns.
- Strong experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
- Strong programming and/or scripting skills in any of Python, Go, Node.js, Ruby
- Solid understanding of Linux containerization with Docker
- Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
- BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
