Join our expanding Developer Relations team at Couchbase, dedicated to elevating Couchbase's visibility and reputation within the developer community. Your role will focus on creating compelling demos and content that highlight developer-centric features, integrations with cutting-edge technologies, and our robust technology ecosystem. Emphasizing an online-first approach, you'll also engage in-person to evangelize Couchbase, sharing insights about our products and company mission. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate within the Marketing department and establish yourself as a key tech influencer.

• Educate Developers - Lead efforts to teach developers about Couchbase, Capella, and the latest trends in AI and related technologies, through various channels and content formats.
• Evangelize Online and In-Person - Actively promote our technology and solution to inspire developers and architects across online platforms like YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, as well as at meetups, conferences, and other tech events to build awareness and foster a developer community.
• Create Engaging Demos and Content - Design, develop, and package interactive demos and presentations that showcase Couchbase’s capabilities, tailored for developer audiences. Support those interested in becoming Couchbase speakers by providing resources and guidance.
• Support Field Marketing and Sales Teams - Partner with the field marketing and sales teams to assist with the most important developer-focused events and meetings. Deliver impactful presentations and engage with developers in-person or virtually, building relationships and driving product adoption.
• Contribute to Developer Community Development - Foster a strong, engaged developer community by participating in relevant online forums, contributing to open-source projects, and providing technical support through Q&A sessions or social media interactions.
• Collaborate with Product Teams - Work closely with product and engineering teams to gather feedback from the developer community, advocate for their needs, and ensure that developer-centric features and improvements are prioritized.
• Measure Impact - Track and report on key metrics related to developer engagement, such as content views, event participation, and social media interactions, to assess the effectiveness of your evangelism efforts.
• Content Strategy - Develop a content strategy that aligns with Couchbase’s goals, producing blog posts, tutorials, white papers, and case studies that resonate with developers and highlight use cases for Couchbase and Capella.
• Stay Ahead of Trends - Continuously monitor emerging trends in AI, cloud databases, and developer tools to ensure that Couchbase stays at the forefront of these technologies and maintain thought leadership in the space.

• You are a community enthusiast and have shared your knowledge and general developer culture
• Experience with the main mobile development frameworks and platforms for mobile applications(Expo, SwiftUI, CoreData, Combine..).
• Experience with at least one Database or Bax`x`aS (Couchbase, Realm, SQLite, Supabase, Firebase…)
• Coding experience with languages like Swift, Objective-C, JavaScript or Flutter/Dart is highly desired.
• Command of the evolving mobile developer ecosystem
• You love helping developers, and have a strong desire to be an influencer
• Great communication skills in English (writing, creating, presenting)
• Must be comfortable with social networks, twitch or other social/influencer tools
• Ability to listen to the developer community and effectively relay their stories and feedback
• The ability to work autonomously
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline  (or equivalent practical experience, career change welcomed)
• Comfortable with basic video-editing
• 5+ years of programming experience
