Job Description:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations teams, ensuring the smooth delivery, deployment, and operation of our software products. Your primary focus will be on automating and streamlining the software development and infrastructure processes. By leveraging your expertise in cloud platforms, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines, you will play a key role in improving the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our software systems.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to understand software requirements and establish efficient workflows.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated build, deployment, and configuration management systems.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration and deployment of software applications.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and scalability of production and test environments.
- Identify and implement strategies for infrastructure automation, including infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and environment configurations.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across development and operational processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth release management and coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in DevOps practices.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on automation and infrastructure management.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, CI/CD principles, and agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Minimum Requirement:
- Certification in DevOps methodologies or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
- Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and management tools like Datadog.
- Familiarity with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Understanding of database administration and SQL.
- Experience with containerization, IaC, and CI/CD tools.
