MAIN OBJECTIVES

To co-ordinate the timely despatch of assemblies and finished products ensuring that Company performance targets (dashboards, KPIs) are achieved.  Duties and responsibilities are highly focussed on environmental and lean methodologies associated with logistics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Communicate with Manufacturing management daily identifying finished goods ready for shipment using the Shipping Visual Schedule.

2. Communicate with Sales Department in order to ensure customers are informed of expected shipments.

3. Produce daily and weekly shipment plans that will meet on time deliveries and KPI’s.

4. Unloading and loading of vehicles.

5. Ensure all packaging of products for despatch is completed in a secure, environmentally conscious manner.

6. Utilise wherever possible re-usable packaging from goods received for customer shipments and dispose of any remaining unrequited materials in accordance with COSHH/ISO14001 Regulations.

7. Maintaining familiarity with export regulations with comprehensive understanding of necessary paperwork and requirements that will enable the free flow of exported goods.

8. Responsibility for adhering to the Company’s ISO 9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environmental and Health and Safety management systems.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

1. Good numeracy and literacy with previous material handling and FLT (Counterbalance) experience.

2. Strong interpersonal and written skills with good time management.

3. A problem solver with the ability to seek alternative solutions.

4. Knowledge of using multiple courier websites and software when despatching products globally.

5. Competent IT skills particularly MS Outlook/Excel/Word and Access.

6. CTPAT knowledge to retain current level of Customs clearance.

7. Hands on approach with strong attention to detail and excellent follow up skills.

8. A team player with proven ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
