About the role
As a Desktop Engineer you will be assigned primary responsibility to proactively maintain and support CodeBlue client’s desktops, notebooks, and tablets as well as associated IT infrastructure and the end users of the devices. You will review customers’ on-going technology needs, assist in providing them with a technology roadmap, and support them in achieving their business objectives.
To aid in your ongoing learning and development you will be mentored by more senior members of the team to learn new technical and business skills from other team members.
Skills & experience:
At least 2 years’ experience in technical support roles, preferably in a relevant service provider or integrator capacity, with knowledge of the following areas:
• Microsoft server technologies including, Active Directory Services, Exchange, SQL Server
• Good desktop and laptop deployment & support experience
• Basic networking (LAN/WAN) experience, with knowledge of switching and routing technologies
• Basic virtualisation & cloud computing experience
• Understanding of firewalling & security principles & technologies
• Mobile computing technologies

Skills Required
