Job Description

We are looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to assist with our critical Windows 11 migration project. The ideal candidate will play an essential role in imaging, deploying, and upgrading PCs to Windows 11 while ensuring minimal disruption to our daily operations. This position will be a contract and onsite in Bethlehem, PA.

Must be able to qualify for, apply for, and obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board license.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and configure devices for deployment, ensuring compatibility and performance standards are met

  • Upgrade existing PCs to Windows 11, troubleshooting any issues that arise during the migration process

  • Provide hands-on technical support to end users, addressing hardware and software-related concerns during and post-migration

  • Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely completion of upgrades amidst a busy workload

  • Work closely with team members and stakeholders to communicate progress, troubleshoot challenges, and meet project deadlines

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Must be able to qualify for, apply for, and obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board license

  • Proven experience in desktop support, including PC imaging, deployment, and upgrades

  • Strong familiarity with Windows operating systems, particularly Windows 11

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve hardware and software issues quickly

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workloads under tight deadlines

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide clear updates to stakeholders

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$25.00 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
