We are looking for a dynamic Desktop Support Specialist to become a vital part of our vibrant IT team, working hybrid across the Budapest, Hungary region. Join the energy and come be part of the momentum! 

In this hybrid role, you will be a key point of contact for end users, delivering high-quality technical support across Windows and macOS environments. You will support Office 365 services, manage requests through Freshservice, and contribute to a positive, reliable end-user IT experience

Insight on your impact:

End-User Support 

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to Windows 10/11, macOS, iOS (iPhone), and Android devices
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and drivers
  • Respond to and resolve IT tickets using Freshservice or other IT service management (ITSM) ticketing systems, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution
  • Support Office 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive 

System Administration & Maintenance 

  • Create, manage, and maintain user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory and Office 365
  • Support endpoint security solutions including antivirus, encryption, and patch management
  • Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and security hardening
  • Support VPN and remote access technologies 

IT Operations 

  • Track, prioritize, and close incidents and service requests in line with SLA expectations
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory for hardware and software
  • Create and update knowledge base articles and end-user documentation
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including device provisioning and access management 

Collaboration & Projects 

  • Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive IT environment
  • Be flexible with working hours when needed to support business requirements, meetings, or critical issues
  • Actively participate in team meetings, cross-functional meetings, and calls to align on priorities and ongoing initiatives
  • Collaborate with network, systems, and security teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
  • Participate in desktop refreshes, software deployments, and infrastructure improvement initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and enhance the end-user experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows 10/11 and macOS
  • Solid knowledge of Office 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Experience with IT service management tools
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, group policies, and user account administration
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills 

Your qualifications, your influence:

To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills 

  • 3+ years of experience in desktop support or IT support roles
  • Strong proficiency with Windows 10/11 and macOS administration
  • Hands-on experience supporting Office 365 services, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Familiarity with IT service desk tools, preferably Freshservice (or similar platforms such as ServiceNow or Zendesk)
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, group policies, and user account administration
  • Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service mindset 

Preferred skills and technical familiarity:

Adding additional insight, and a growth mindset, will elevate your contribution in this role 

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar certifications
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions
