This is an amazing opportunity to get involved! As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance to our employees across the organization. This role will be responsible for supporting both Mac and Windows environments, administering Office 365 applications, and using Freshservice as the primary IT service management (ITSM) tool. The Desktop Support Specialist will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues while ensuring excellent customer service and timely resolution of IT requests.

Insight on your impact:
End-User Support
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Install, configure, and update hardware, software, and drivers.
- Respond to IT support tickets in Freshservice, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
- Assist users with Office 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
System Administration & Maintenance
- Create, manage, and maintain user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory and Office 365.
- Configure and maintain endpoint security tools (antivirus, encryption, patch management).
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and security hardening.
- Support VPN and remote access technologies.
IT Operations
- Track, document, and close service requests and incidents in Freshservice with attention to SLA compliance.
- Maintain IT asset inventory (hardware and software).
- Contribute knowledge base articles and user training materials.
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding of employees, ensuring devices, accounts, and access are properly provisioned.
Collaboration & Projects
- Partner with network, systems, and security teams to escalate issues and support IT projects.
- Participate in desktop upgrades, software rollouts, and infrastructure refresh initiatives.
- Provide input into IT processes and recommend improvements for end-user experience
Your qualifications, your influence:
To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills
- 3+ years of experience in desktop or IT support.
- Strong proficiency with Windows 10/11 and macOS administration.
- Hands-on experience with Office 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Familiarity with IT service desk tools, preferably Freshservice (or similar like ServiceNow, Zendesk).
- Knowledge of Active Directory, group policies, and account administration.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi troubleshooting).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred skills and technical familiarity:

- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications.
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Exposure to ITIL practices.
- Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
