Position Summary:
The IT Desktop Service specialist will be part of a team that is responsible for the following components of the Regional IT service in Korea: Desktop and mobile computing environment, mobility, Wide Area Network and Local Area Network, backup and recovery operations, Voice and Data networking, Video and Voice conferencing system.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Entegris Korea is looking for a bilingual IT Desktop engineer to join our multinational team in Oseong, Korea.
A candidate will be mainly responsible for providing level-2 support to our company regarding their day-to-day office IT infrastructure issues and incidents, both in Korean and English. This is a great opportunity for those who have experience as a bilingual desktop support engineer in enterprise level.
Responsibilities

Resolve calls from end users of our multinational clients regarding technical issues and incidents in their everyday office IT infrastructure environment

Provide on-site support at domestic locations in Korea Approx 2 times a week

Escalate incidents to the next support level where appropriate

General application and device support when required

Coordination of multi-vendor hardware break-fix

Basic asset management tracking and reporting

Annual PC/Printer replacement task

Carries out upgrades, repairs, and conversions to existing systems including replacement of component parts (i.e. keyboards, monitors, disks, etc.)

Diagnose hardware problems and provide support as appropriate. Install, test, and operate basic operating systems software and standard applications
Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Physical Requirements):

At least three years of experience as an IT desktop engineer

Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
-
Professionalism in actions, demeanor and dress

Understanding of helpdesk/desktop operations
-
Minimum of 3 years employment experience supporting desktop equipment

Knowledge of desktop devices/environment (i.e. PCs, IP phones, mobiles, printers, etc.)

Experience of remote support
-
Native-level Korean and Minimum-level English language skills (TOEIC score 500-600)
