We are looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support to end users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This position will diagnose and resolve technical incidents, maintain desktop systems and devices, and ensure employees can work efficiently with minimal downtime. This position will be full-time contract and on-site.
What You'll Do
Provide first- and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity issues
Install, configure, maintain, and update desktop operating systems and business applications
Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, emails, and walk-up support requests in a timely manner
Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate IT teams when necessary
Document incidents, resolutions, and system configurations accurately and consistently
Support employee onboarding and offboarding by provisioning and decommissioning accounts and equipment
Assist remote users using remote access and support tools
Maintain compliance with security standards, including antivirus management, patching, and access controls
Track technology assets and support inventory and equipment lifecycle management
What You'll Need
Required:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
1-3 years of desktop support, help desk, or technical support experience
Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications and services
Familiarity with Active Directory and basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
Experience using ticketing systems and remote support platforms
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
Preferred:
CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or related technical certifications
Experience supporting iOS and Android mobile devices
Basic scripting or automation experience using PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools
Familiarity with endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or JAMF
Experience working in fast-paced enterprise support environments
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary for extended periods with occasional movement throughout the office
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Ability to lift, move, and install computer equipment and peripherals weighing up to 40 pounds
Frequent interaction with employees and stakeholders at all levels of the organization

$40,000 - $45,000 per yearThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
