Our IT team has an immediate need for a Desktop Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide first line support to users, ensuring Customer First experience to all our customers/end users across all locations. Is responsible for desktop support and new user setups. 

What you will do:

  • First line of contact for desktops, laptops, tablets, plotters, scanners, and other information technology systems (local and remote) as required to ensure efficiency and reliability.
  • Respond to user issues reported through tickets or management requests, and update tickets accordingly throughout the issue resolution process.
  • Create articles for the knowledge base to ensure common issues and configurations are well documented and available to employees to help promote self-service.
  • Track and maintain accurate equipment inventories.
  • Onboard new employees including provisioning of equipment and logins and orienting employees to the environment.
  • Offboard of departing employees including disabling of access and collection of assets.
  • Perform facilities-related tasks including office moves, shipping/receiving, conference room support.
  • Coordinate with vendors for warranty repair of IT assets.
  • Identify process improvements to present for consideration and implementation.
  • Ensure work is carried out within service level agreements and quality standards.
  • Provide technical assistance for users regarding login and access issues to resources.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software, and other equipment.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents. 
  • Comply with local and corporate policies and procedures to ensure company routines and regulations are met.

Relationship management both externally and internally is a mastered skillset.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Experience installing, maintaining, and trouble-shooting Desktop/Laptop/Tablet computers
  • Clear and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
