About the role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT System Admin
team. You will serve as the primary escalation point for complex IT issues, providing advanced
technical support across hardware, software, and network domains. You will work closely with the IT
Admin Lead to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of SarvaGram’s IT infrastructure and
end-user environment.
Key responsibilities
End-User & Device Support
- Provide second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals across the
organisation
- Handle escalations from Level 1 support, ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues with minimal disruption to
business operations
Identity & Access Management
- Manage Active Directory including user accounts, group policies, and access controls
- Administer access provisioning and de-provisioning in line with IT security policies
Infrastructure & Systems
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and enterprise applications
- Support VPN, remote access tools, and endpoint security solutions
- Assist in system upgrades, patch management, and deployments
Vendor & Asset Management
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, replacement, and repairs
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets and manage the asset lifecycle
Documentation & Process
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and the internal knowledge base
- Log and manage issues through the ticketing system, ensuring accurate records and SLA
adherence
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Group Policy management
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals — DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
- Experience with IT ticketing tools and remote support applications
- Ability to troubleshoot independently and resolve complex technical issues
Soft Skill
- Strong analytical and problem-solving approach
- Good communication and user-handling skills — patient, clear, and solution-oriented
- Ability to prioritise effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or relevant Microsoft certifications are preferred
