About the roleWe are looking for a motivated, proactive and enthusiastic Desk-Based Account Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your sales and account management skills, build strong customer relationships, uncover new business opportunities and learn how to deliver value-led technology solutions. With ongoing training and support from experienced Account Managers and a clear progression path into a field-based role, this position is ideal for someone eager to grow, succeed and build a long-term career in sales.
Please note this is a hybrid role based out of the Aberdeen office with occasional travel to our various locations across the UK. You must be able to commute to the office and have your own transport.
What you’ll do
- Work closely with Account Managers to build and manage relationships with an assigned portfolio of customers, delivering excellent service and support.
- Proactively generate sales opportunities through phone, email, Teams and LinkedIn engagement, contributing to revenue growth.
- Support customer retention by managing renewals, contract milestones and identifying opportunities for account expansion.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipeline updates, forecasts and customer activity logs.
- Prepare customer quotations and proposals, coordinating with internal teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Develop knowledge of Collaboration and IT solutions, progressing towards a consultative sales approach.
- Work closely with Account Managers and specialist teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities that align with customer needs and business objectives.
- Demonstrate continuous learning, performance growth and independence to develop into a field-based Account Manager position.

- Personable and articulate
- Proficiency with office software (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word).
