The Role

Designer (Product, Brand & Growth) @ Beagle

Atlanta, Georgia

Beagle is the revenue machine behind one of the best funded YC startups ever - Corgi (YC24). We’re looking for a pixel-perfect, psychology-driven Swiss Army Knife Designer who can support engineering, ship new product surfaces, elevate sales materials, and bring clarity and polish to every part of the company.

You’ll work across engineering, product, sales, operations, HR, and more - turning loose ideas into world-class, behavior-driving designs with speed and intention.

A strong portfolio is required.

What You’ll Own

1. Product & Engineering Design (Primary Need)

  • Own the full UX workflow: wireframes → prototypes → high-fidelity UI → engineering-ready handoff.

  • Deliver fast, high-quality turnarounds with pixel-perfect spacing, hierarchy, and clarity.

  • Build reusable design systems (components, grids, tokens) that engineering can implement with minimal back-and-forth.

  • Bring psychology into every interaction: reducing friction, building trust, guiding user behavior.

  • Anticipate blind spots for engineers by identifying confusion points, edge cases, and drop-off risks.

  • Provide clear design rationale and a strong, articulate point of view.

2. Customer Psychology & Journey Mapping

  • Map and refine the entire customer journey (awareness → onboarding → activation → retention).

  • Design with intention: every layout, flow, and message answers “why would a user do this?”

  • Create experiences that improve activation, demo conversions, and overall product adoption.

3. Sales Enablement & Client-Facing Assets

  • Produce enterprise-ready pitch decks, diagrams, one-pagers, and workflow visuals.

  • Turn complex technical concepts into simple, compelling visuals that elevate credibility.

  • Build templates that help Sales move faster and look more polished.

4. Brand Systems & Visual Identity

  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines: typography, color, spacing, illustration, motion.

  • Ensure cohesion across product, sales, internal docs, and leadership comms.

  • Bring your own inspiration for color, illustration, animation, and narrative style.

5. Light Marketing Creative (Expands Over Time)

  • Design social assets, landing pages, ad visuals, and lightweight campaigns.

  • Write or refine crisp, clear microcopy and marketing copy; use tools like Grammarly/Hemingway/ChatGPT for polish only.

  • Think about distribution: Instagram, LinkedIn, influencers, edutainment, paid traffic.

  • Use AI tools intelligently. No heavy reliance on generative design.

6. Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work seamlessly across engineering, product, sales, ops, HR, and new functions as Beagle grows.

  • Translate ambiguous requests into structured, intentional, high-quality outputs.

  • Become the design partner everyone trusts to bring clarity, polish, and speed.

7. Nice-to-Have Capabilities

  • 3D modeling or CAD for product visualization or motion.

  • Motion graphics / micro-interactions.

What You Bring

  • 3–6+ years in product/brand/marketing design at a high-bar environment.

  • Mastery of Figma:

    • auto-layout, components, variants, responsive logic, prototyping.

  • Extreme attention to detail:

    • pixel-perfect execution, spacing discipline, clean hierarchy.

  • Strong taste and a clear design philosophy you can explain.

  • Self-starter who takes initiative, moves fast, and thrives in ambiguity.

  • A portfolio showing end-to-end thinking (wireframes → prototypes → shipped UI → outcomes).

  • Ability to articulate thoughtful design rationale and improve thinking across teams.

  • Bonus:

    • Experience in top-tier craft environments.

  • Bonus:

    • 3D, CAD, or motion.
