About the job

At our office facilities in the heart of Copenhagen, you will become part of an energetic office community, consisting of approx. 60 colleagues looking forward to welcoming you in our team.

As our new Designer, you will join a small team consisting of you and our Head of Design & Visual Direction, to whom you will also report. You will also work closely together with our Creative Director and Product Development departments, amongst others.

In this role, you will contribute to securing the design direction of HAY and being part of the product development process.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Create 3D-vizualisations and graphical work for presentations
  • Following up on new external development and in-house designs
  • Work on product development with internal team, external designers and suppliers
  • Support with market research and briefing
  • Idea generation for exhibitions, photo shootings and new products
  • Create mock-ups, prototype assembly, sewing and 3D-printing
  • Prepare prototypes for presentations
  • Take photos of prototypes and meetings
  • Take care of ingoing and outgoing sample shipments
  • Assisting with on-site build-up for annual fairs & wholesale projects
  • Work closely with our Furniture development, Marketing and Styling department

Experience required

  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience from a similar position and working with developing design objects, either on a design office or brand.
  • Using Adobe Creative Suite is a must
  • You ideally use Rhino 3D modelling software in your daily work
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English
