Your Role
As a FF&E Designer, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for our clients.
You must be an integral part of your teams and actively foster a respectful, creative, and inspiring design environment. You should have a great reputation in the design community at large.
What You Will Do
- Performs work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques and procedures.
- Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
- Produce mood boards, material palettes and design presentations independently or with minimal supervision
- Produce furniture plans, specifications, material selections and schedules needed for construction documentation with minimal supervision.
- Concept image selections
- Finish material & Furniture selections, knowledge of local material resourcing Able to direct and lead rendering team
- Working with LDI or contractor on design development, and construction documents.
- Generate interior finishes and reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, specifications, and material selections needed for construction.
- Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts
- Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
- Work in a synergistic manner with teams and other design and professional staff
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs with office Liberian.
Your Qualifications
- 7-10 years minimum professional experience in design of workplace interiors projects in China.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of design.
- Good references for previous client relationships.
- Able to work in a team environment with good collaboration skills.
- Good presentation abilities
- Able to meet tight schedules and deadlines
- Mandarin speaker, able to read and write in Chinese. Good English speaker, good English reading & writing skills
- Proficient in Revit, Enscape, Other modeling software programs such as Sketchup are a plus
