Where is the work:

In this role, you will work with the Residential Gas Furnace Engineering Team to support the design of HVAC residential furnace products, including the design and documentation of parts and assemblies for both new and existing furnaces. You will develop 3D CAD models and perform the analysis and documentation of those designs. Your work will include tolerance, structural, and thermal investigations, primarily using Creo solid modeling software and its associated modules. You will also coordinate Creo and Windchill and/or Teamcenter X work completed by offsite ETC resources for the Gas Furnace Team, helping ensure on-time completion through effective communication and minimal rework.
What you will do:
- Create critical 3D models and engineering drawings in Creo across surfacing, sheet metal, piping, assembly, cabling, schematics, and detailing
- Translate subsystem requirements from lead engineers into practical, optimized design solutions.
- Apply design for manufacturing, assembly, and ergonomics principles to support efficient product development.
- Perform engineering analysis using Creo and related tools, and document analysis results clearly.
- Define component and material specifications while supporting cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage engineering data, unit attributes, and bills of material in Windchill and/or Teamcenter X.
- Coordinate & effectively communicate design development with off-site manufacturing resources at US-based manufacturing facility
- Coordinate, track and manage solid modeling, drawing creation and BOM work completed by offsite ETC resources ensuring on-time completion with effective communication and minimal rework
What you will bring:
- Minimum 7 years of advanced experience using CAD and PLM in a design engineering environment. Creo, Schematics, and Windchill and/or Teamcenter X experience preferred.
- Strong aptitude for mechanical and/or electrical equipment design, with HVAC, consumer appliance, or component experience preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Schematics and Pro-Cabling, with Adobe Illustrator and barcode application knowledge considered highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving, project planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deliver assignments on time.
- Results-oriented team player who drives continuous improvement and contributes to overall team performance.
- Effective verbal and written communicator who works well in an open, consensus-driven team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills, along with proficiency in standard Windows-based tools such as Excel, Word, and Access.
