The Role
Following our continued growth and busy pipeline of work across Queensland, we have exciting opportunities for a Civil Designer to join our Urban Communities team in our Brisbane office and assist on major projects across Queensland and nationally.
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing top class design drawings across urban/land development, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects. Some of the projects you will work on include:
- Commercial land developments
- Town centre main street upgrades
- Subdivisions
- Master Plan communities
- Solar and wind farms
- Road intersection upgrades
- Industrial renewal projects
- Design of construction camps for major infrastructure projects
Key Responsibilities
- Concept design and delivery of major civil projects using 12D and AutoCAD
- Ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC
- Proactively collaborating with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and coordination of project deliverables
- Provide training and mentoring to junior employees when needed
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent Advanced Diploma
- 3+ years’ domestic design experience working for an engineering design consultancy
- Relevant project portfolio – urban and land development projects
- Skilled in Civil 12D and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of relevant Australian design standards and local regulations

Salary range for the role is $85,000 - $98,000.
