Your Role
Gensler's IOC Lab is a unique team that provides support to ongoing projects all over the world. You will coordinate and work along a global team to complete amazing projects.
As a Designer at Gensler´s IOC Lab, you need to actively participate in all phases of the design process. Innovative thinking balanced with ability to present real-world technical solutions to new design challenges. Must thrive with personal responsibility and accountability but embody and embrace open communication and team-oriented success.
You are a passionate professional who combines creativity, technical knowledge, and business skills to produce functional and beautiful spaces for clients. With exceptional design skills and a background in architecture, you will contribute as an integral member of the design team, actively participating in conceptual thought processes and design exploration.
- Rate with the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and vendors to achieve project objectives.
- Deliver documents with design intent and top-notch technical quality.
- Select and research building materials and generate material specifications.
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
- Establish and maintain productive client relationships.
- Fulfill other assigned responsibilities.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor of Architecture, Interior Architecture, or foreign equivalent
- 5+ years of project experience in an architectural practice
- Proficiency in REVIT, Sketch Up, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft office
- 100% bilingual English/Spanish, well written with excellent verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
- Construction documentation and/or design detail development experience
- Strong leadership, communications, and relationship management skills
- Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, grace, and emotional intelligence
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Has the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relation
- Additional software skills in AutoCAD, 3d Max, Illustrator, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Autodesk Certified are a plus
