Overview:
The Designer in this position is responsible for the design and development of the vineyard vines Boy's business by interpreting concepts into finished brand appropriate products. Main responsibilities include flat sketches, fabric & trim development, BOM creation, and line plan management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development of Boy’s apparel according to the seasonal concept (color, styling, etc.) focusing on direct take downs of men’s product
- Create, update and present seasonal design boards
- Collaborate closely with the men's design team to ensure consistency across styling, color, and details.
- Responsible for creating and managing BOMs through for all boy’s product through product lifecycle
- Organize and maintain seasonal design books, fabric swatches and trim books
- Assist in all aspects of daily follow-up with external and internal partners
- Create flat sketches and renderings using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Attend all proto and bi-weekly fittings
- Ensure boys product meets safety standards on all product
What you bring:
- Degree in Fashion Design
- At least 4 years of Design experience, kids experience preferred
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator & PLM systems is a must
- Strong understanding of the apparel design process from concept to product
- Self-Starter and creative thinker with ability to interpret seasonal concept
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with an ability to work under tight timelines while managing multiple priorities
- Must be willing to commute to Stamford, CT Headquarters

Skills Required
- Degree in Fashion Design
- At least 4 years of design experience
- Kids apparel experience
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
