About the role

We’re seeking an experienced Vice President, Creative to join our dynamic team an entirely new category of dining experiences for families. Reporting directly to the CMO, this leader will create outstanding solutions, overseeing large-scale projects and multiple growing teams across all media. As a member of the Leadership team, the VP will help build the revenue, market reputation and culture required for continuous growth. 

You are a visionary that brings seasoned advertising experience, leadership, inspiration and expertise to all creative marketing disciplines. You think conceptually about brand experience, shaping the vision for all design, marketing, and creative communications. 

  • Strategy and Brand Stewardship:

    • Create a vision and strategy for the Wonder brand that translates into new and powerful ideas and define how that brand comes to life across all surfaces and channels 
    • Champion bold ideas and creative approaches to telling Wonder’s stories (leveraging our unique assets like Chefs on the Road [CORs], visionary founder, and others) and more deeply connecting with Wonder’s customers -- chefs, and communities 
    • Create brand consistency, ensure that all materials support and strengthen Wonder’s brand and personality 
  • Creative Oversight:

    • Provides the creative lens through which all creative work product is filtered, within Creative Services, other areas of the department, and external resources 
    • Provides comprehensive oversight of the in-house Creative Services team to guides the creative process, start to finish - from Creative Briefs through presentation and quality control, fostering a supportive and inspired “blue sky” creative workspace
    • Collaborates with cross-functional leaders, including but not limited to product, chef partnerships, people, hospitality, to uphold creative strategy and framework and fulfill creative cohesive work. In the process, implement best practices and refinement of workflow processes to better meet high-volume, high-quality program demands and Wonder’s ambitious growth
  • Team Building and Process: 

    • Instill a curious and data-driven mindset within the creative services function, utilizing department and enterprise resources to stay abreast of industry, competitive, audience, media, and purchasing trends—and translates those insights into distinctive messaging for Wonder’s customers 
    • Manage and mentor a growing team of brand strategists, designers, copywriters, among others daily to accomplish first-class work - directing, inspiring and delivering on our creative vision; foster a culture and environment conducive to producing bold experience-based ideas
    • Inspire commitment, loyalty, pride, and spirit in the organization, as you advocate for the Creative team, making the team a trusted and respected partner 
    • Bring passion for new creative thinking and bold ideas to our stakeholders and Company 
    • Works in tandem with Customer Marketing to organize and monitor creative workload, assigning and prioritizing work, based on capacity, skills, and resources
  • Other leadership competencies:  

    • 14+ years creative experience, to include agency and in-house experience (consumer technology or technology-enabled companies preferred) 
    • You’re passionate about brands, ideas, stories, design and live events, and have a fascination with how to apply that passion to marketing campaigns and brand experiences 
    • You have deep leadership experience and have demonstrated the ability to guide, develop and retain a growing team, set goals, delegate responsibilities, hold teams accountable for outcomes, provide thoughtful, learning oriented feedback, and represent the Creative team at the highest organizational level 
    • You know how to tell compelling stories about brands to multiple audiences, through breakthrough visual or experiential design and creative, with digital savvy 
    • Extremely articulate, extremely calm under pressure, and able to communicate complex ideas clearly 
    • A collaborative mindset, eager to work alongside other senior management team members as well as all colleagues, with a thoughtful and dedicated approach to leadership 
    • Can operate at the highest strategic level but comfortable getting hands dirty in all aspects of design—from digital assets to print to video
