WHAT YOU'LL DO
The User Experience team at RealPage advocates for customers in all phases of product development. You see business problems as human problems and know how to design for the success of the user. You can produce Figma prototypes quickly via our robust design system, AND you carry this knowledge lightly: first conducting user interviews, card sorts, surveys, unmoderated user tests, AB tests and more because you know that you are NOT the user. We're looking for a portfolio that reflects more than visuals of the final product, but also the steps taken to get there and measurable results.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Executing product design as a part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Collaborating on user experience planning
- Consulting with clients and a range of team members
- Learning, applying and advancing our design system
- Creating/designing wireframes, process flows, user personas, and user experience journeys
- Use storyboarding, task analysis, competitive analysis, card sorting, and other user research tasks to capture and develop user requirements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- 3+ years of user experience design experience for software; desktop and mobile applications which leverage emergent technologies
- Strong conceptualization ability, strong visual communication ability, drawing skills preferred
- Design skills, high production values and attention to detail
- Ability to create wireframes and if you can create visual design comps, all the better.
- Strong working knowledge of Figma and Sketch.
- Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (very important)
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Understanding of common software project management practices
- Understanding of common software development practices
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS. Development experience is a plus.
- 2-3 years of professional experience
- 4-year+ degree, BA or BS in design, information sciences, HCI, or psychology
