Summary: The UI UX Designer will be responsible for discovering data-driven insights and optimally communicating that knowledge to others. You will be hands-on, crafting graphics and UI elements, implementing creative direction, establishing procedures, and ensuring visual consistency for Onbe. The designer will build stories that work together and work for our clients!
Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate user requirements in collaboration with platform managers, product owners, and engineers
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps
  • Develop UI mockups and sketches that clearly illustrate how sites function and look
  • Optimize existing user interface designs
  • Build original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches, tables, dashboards, and reports)
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key collaborators
  • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
  • Build page navigation buttons and search fields
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Implement to style standards on fonts, colors, and images


Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
  • Portfolio of design projects
  • Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Figma, Wireframe.cc and InVision)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Some knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction
  • Ability to combine creativity with an awareness of the design elements
  • Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various partners
  • Good time-management skills
  • Degree in Design, Computer Science or relevant field preferred


This position can be office based, hybrid or fully remote in the continental United States. Onbe's employee base is mostly clustered in the Eastern and Central time zones, with offices in suburban Philadelphia and suburban Chicago.
