Sr Product Designer / UX Designer
Job Description Chase is looking for highly motivated Senior Product Designers to design useful, usable, and desirable products for their Authentication product. Financial management tools should demonstrate the same care and craft as consumer software, designed with contemporary user- and human-centered practices.
Senior Product Designers work across the range of design practice, from up-front research, insights, and strategy, though to ideation, prototyping, and testing, and to delivery of final designs. We are not expecting people to be brilliant at everything, but we do presume some comfort throughout the design process, and a desire to continually broaden and improve your skills.
Senior Product Designers are part of multi-disciplinary teams, including experience researchers and content designers, committed to designing the future of banking. Senior Product Designers are expected to be strong partners with Product Owners and Engineers, involved in prioritization, planning, and decisions along the way to execution.
What You'll Do
- Design and re-design product experiences across our Authentication offerings
- Participate in upfront user research to better understand user needs and behaviors, and usability testing to see how your solutions work for users, with the support and guidance of Experience Researchers
- Advocate for the users' perspective when collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers to plan roadmaps, gather requirements, and structure the work
- Ideation and prototyping to explore different options, including unexpected, but still workable solutions
- Diagram the interactivity of the product, including user flows and wireframes
- Detailed design, built upon our Design System, that brings our solutions to life
- Contribute to our Design System as needed
- Advocate for Accessibility and Inclusive Design practices
- Support recruiting processes, reaching out to potential candidates, taking part in interviews
Our Desired Profile
- Has shipped multiple successful digital products
- Self-directed; in both planning and structuring your effort, and executing and expected levels of quality, you don't need someone guiding you through the work
- Demonstrated experience with user-centered and human-centered design approaches
- Prior work involves collaboration within design teams (with other designers, ux researchers, and content designers) and cross-functionally with product managers and software engineers
- Demonstrates strong Interaction Design and Visual/UI skills
- Proficiency in adjacent skills such as Information Architecture, User Research, UX Writing, and Prototyping
- Understands how design work connects with broader business value
- Able to show how their understanding of technical constraints and opportunities informed design solutions; familiar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Advocate for Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices
