This individual will have an impactful role working with the Sr. Director of Learning Strategy and Design to form and execute on a learning architecture for the Technology college. This individual will be responsible for forming and maintaining a strong relationship with stakeholders from the Product and Engineering organizations. In addition, help bring to fruition a true persona database from which a foundation for a learning architecture can be built and maintained.  The individual in this role needs to be well versed in Agile, Human-centered Design, Design Thinking, and the waterfall model of ADDIE. This individual will need to be highly collaborative and be willing to be iterative in all phases of their learning experiences. Finally, the individual in this role needs to have a desire to “roll up their sleeves” and meet the learners of the Technology organization. What You'll Do:

  • Establish and maintain key relationships with leaders from the Technology organization
  • Design and develop key learning experiences demonstrating the ability to utilize different styles of learning and development: ADDIE, Human-centered Design and Design Thinking
  • Be comfortable with Agile and be able to demonstrate the ability to work in an Agile environment
  • Be a self-starter and work on their own initiative with minimal supervision and direction
  • Be creative and drive impactful learning experiences utilizing the tools currently provided by Okta: Adobe products, Wipster, Synapse, Camtasia, Cornerstone LMS, and other common L&D tools.
  • Establish and maintain a learning architecture for the Technology organization
  • Work with the Sr. Director of Learning Strategy and Design to establish and maintain a learning culture that is built around the input of key stakeholders from the Technology organization
  • Be responsible for your own well being and know one's limits. Be an agent and not an object. This individual will not wait to be told when to act, but will be an agent and will act on their own to help build a great learning environment

About You:

  • 10+ years of experience in instructional development or design.
  • Natural at building relationships, partnering and influencing others.
  • Skilled and comfortable driving strategy as you are rolling up your sleeves.
  • Ability to be collaborative, influential and manage people who are not direct reports.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational/prioritization skills and ability to multi-task with close attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional systems design (ADDIE, Agile), and Kirkpatrick’s training evaluation levels.
  • Experience in applying modern instructional design practices and methodologies to support training, learning, and eLearning/web-based training development.
  • Practical use of Camtasia, Premier Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Expertise in using an eLearning development tool, Articulate Storyline or Captivate.
  • An innovative design approach that is not limited by a particular tool or method.
  • Strong project management, planning and organization skills, including the ability to handle multiple large-scale projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with enterprise LXP, LMS.
  • Experience with analyzing data to draw conclusions, assess impact, and make recommendations for updates to training.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and able to independently prioritize shifting workload in a high growth, ever changing environment.
  • Strong growth mindset, always looking for ways to improve.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills - able to work well with employees in a remote environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • Master’s degree in instructional development, instructional technology or adult learning theory is a plus.
