UX Designer / Reporting Platform Designer will be responsible for adoption of latest cutting-edge methods in the area of Data Presentation. Position requires one to be Creative Storyteller from Data and Present the story in the simplest and elegant way. Ideal Candidate should be aware of latest adoption of technologies like 'Gap-minder', 'Infographics' and 'Dynamic UI' and should be able to tell which type of Chart represent the data best.
Looking for an accomplished UI/UX (7-12 years) designer with technical and managerial skills to cater to the fast-changing needs of the business across the globe and contribute positively towards organization's corporate vision, mission & goal and hone technical knowledge, experience on continuous basis to take up challenging roles and responsibilities.

Role:

  • Create and design the UI Interface and lead a team with similar activities
  • Provides multiple design narratives and provide advocacy for adoption of a given representation
  • Create Understanding of Data Presentation and communicate with the clients and lead the collaborative effort
  • Collect timely feedback on the prototype and implement design changes if required
  • Create metrics and key driving component to measure success of "User experience" over the platform
  • Should be able to prototype quickly and ensure designs are technically feasible
  • Out of box thinker

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Design, Art and Programming Leadership
  • Lead the UI/UX Department (UI/UX Designers and UI/UX programmers) managing the UI/UX implementation of the ongoing projects
  • Maintain ownership of the product vision and roadmap and improving the product development process
  • Lead the team in expanding mastery of the business goals of each design request and bringing forth innovative UX/UI proposals
  • Demonstrate high quality design practices. This includes participation in all aspects of UI/UX: research, ideation, strategy, interaction design, and visual design
  • Building a UX / UI style guide. Setting and maintaining UX / UI design standards
  • Updating, maintaining, and developing interface specifications for the needs of the development team
  • Empower and mentor designers in the team, fostering a collaborative, productive, and positive environment within a growing team
  • Maintain and further build design team workflows that ensure that all designs delivered are in line with style guides and are of high-quality standards
  • Ensure that the projects are delivered on a timely manner


Total 7-12 years of experience in UI/UX:

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
  • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
  • Build page navigation buttons and search fields
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
  • Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches and tables)
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness)
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
  • Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
  • Portfolio of design projects
  • Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g., Wireframe.cc, Figma and InVision, Adobe XD)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Visio, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Solid ommunication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Good time-management skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of experience in UI/UX of reporting/web application
  • 6+ years of experience in wireframes designs
  • 6+ years of experience in Charting and Data Presentation with any of market tools/reporting application
  • Experience in the healthcare/insurance industry as Lead UI/UX Designer
  • Experience managing a team of designers, artists and programmers. Ability to communicate with different departments of the company
  • Good general knowledge of graphical trends and flows
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written

Preferred Qualifcations:

  • Experience in healthcare/insurance domain
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine
  • Familiarity with Perforce
  • An understanding of GSuite
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with a skill in producing excellent results despite technical limitations and time constraints

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
