Job Description We are looking for someone with extensive digital and usability design experience that can partner with our business and technology teams. The ideal candidate will operate as the UX Design Lead for high-profile and priority applications - delivering best-in-class solutions in collaboration with supporting UX researchers and designers. You must have proven expertise in all stages of the design process from research to the final deliverable.
You will be part of the Corporate Technology User Experience team at JPMorgan Chase & Co., solving complex UX problems in the Regulatory & Controls space. We design user-centered products and applications that help shape the daily experiences of JPMC employees around the world.
The successful candidate will join our User Experience team in Columbus, Ohio. You will be part of a tight-knit, diverse team that takes pride in high design standards and caring for its team members. We work collaboratively, empower designers to take on tough challenges, and encourage them to think outside the box.
Our design solutions are grounded in user-centered design principles and supported by extensive user research and consultation. We design with an inclusive mindset to ensure our products meet the highest standards for accessibility and usability.
What you'll be doing / Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with project teams comprised of business and technology stakeholders at all levels
  • Shaping the end-to-end product experience for multiple applications in the product line
  • Creating user flows, wireframes, and hi-definition design prototypes in Figma
  • Partnering with UX researchers to help plan and facilitate user research efforts
  • Working with our tech partners to ensure end-to-end accountability for accessibility and usability
  • Offering mentoring and guidance to other UX Designers on your team
  • Contributing to our design system and component library
  • Evangelizing UX to business and technology stakeholders


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, Interaction/Interface Design, Graphic Design, Technology Communications or related discipline from a major accredited college or university
  • 5+ years or equivalent compelling experiences as a designer for enterprise software, responsive web applications, and defining in-house style guides & documenting standards
  • Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills with clients and senior executives - write, speak and present information effectively, persuasively and confidently in a variety of communication/corporate settings
  • A balance of creativity, productivity, and passion for elegant, simple, emotionally rich design
  • Proven expertise with Figma, or equivalent modern design tools
  • Knowledge of service design, design systems, and agile methodologies
  • Strong understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) and assistive technologies
  • General understanding of the capabilities of modern web application technologies: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Angular, React, and Bootstrap
