Collibra seeks a skilled and passionate Senior User Experience Designer to join our Product Design team. You will guide a team to create great customer experiences through well-crafted user experiences and interfaces. Reporting to the Director of User Experience, you will dive deep with teammates, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to deliver empowering enterprise data management and intelligence solutions. Together we’ll set the tone and pace for creating satisfying and effective experiences that have measurable positive impacts for our customers and on our business.

A Senior User Experience Designer at Collibra is responsible for:

  • Leading a design team, projects, and other initiatives to success through design excellence in practice, guidance, and communication to stakeholders
  • Creating the critical elements and detailed behaviors of our product interfaces—based on user and business goals—to achieve better outcomes for customers
  • Applying and contributing to enterprise design systems 
  • Composing and growing product designers alongside multidisciplinary team members in order to create beneficial, robust, accessible, and high-performing products
  • Promoting and using best design practices as well as qualitative and quantitative assessment methodologies to produce consistent and effective experiences

You have:

  • Proven experience in graphic design, UX/UI Design, HCI,  or a related field.
  • A portfolio of individual and team projects (5 - 10 years worth) of high quality, full-lifecycle, goal-centered interface design work in complex domains for web, desktop, and mobile. You will be asked to present an overview of 2 - 3 projects to the team. 
  • Highly proficient in modern design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma), prototyping tools (e.g., InVision, Principle), and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira)
  • Fluency in U.S. or British English

You are:

  • Skilled in interaction and experience design; able to demonstrate your expertise through scenarios, user journeys, design concepts, and low- and high-fidelity mockups
  • A storyteller who helps others see the value of great design  
  • Experienced working  within brand guidelines to create experiences that reinforce a brand’s style or voice through its visual touchpoints
  • The ability to collect, synthesize, and discuss feedback and input from users, research, leadership, product management, and engineering teams and then incorporate that into designs and positively impact business results
  • The ability to express a clear design direction and philosophy with strategies and tactics for implementation, and gain senior stakeholder agreement
  • Capable of designing sophisticated products for global markets
  • Able to lead, direct, mentor, coach, and educate about design with a wide range of colleagues

Measuring Success:Reporting to the Director of UX, the Senior UX Designer’s measures of success are:

  • Month 1: Deep dive into onboarding, understanding our products, and getting to know the team
  • Month 2: Understand major Product Design team priorities and participate in all design team activities
  • Month 3:  Outline a strategy for your team function and contributions to UX excellence
