About the Role:

Remitly is hiring a Senior Designer, UI to join our team and help optimize the performance of our app store and website landing pages. Under the guidance of the Marketing Creative Director and Creative Leads you will partner with other team members across the company focused on optimizing the customer journey, and own applying brand positioning and visual identity, cohesively. As an experienced Senior Designer you will apply solid design principles and impeccable aesthetic choices across a range of digital applications. You have a high degree of ownership and identify strategic and creative opportunities. People are excited to work with you.

You’ll Will:

• Partner with our Senior Manager, SEO and writer to create scalable website templates and content that's right for the brand and customers while optimizing to increase conversion rate

• Partner with our ASO (App Store Optimization) Marketing Manager to develop testing plans and a north star vision for our app storefronts by benchmarking against competitors, industry and eCommerce leaders

• Work within a cross-team squad pushing the Remitly brand aesthetic forward through expert use of color, typography, photography, iconography and UI best practices

• You will design scalable systems that are well thought out, not one-off solutions

• Partner with product teams to ensure that designs are implemented within CMS parameters

• Explain your design perspectives, creative vision and decisions to cross-divisional partners and senior leaders

• Partner with Project Management to ensure projects are delivered per specifications

• Research and keep a pulse on trends and topics that matter most to Remitly's audiences around the world

• Be a positive influence within Marketing and Remitly as a whole 

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in an agency or in-house design role

• Formal design education with a fundamental understanding of color theory, type and layout

• An portfolio that shows mastery of digital design principles

• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch and Figma

• An eagerness to grow, adapt, expand your skills, and try new things

• A sensitivity for, and desire to understand different cultures and trends

• Love of art, design and branding

• Accordance to our mission and values

• Flexibility to work with teams in Seattle (HQ), London and other global time zones (regardless of where you are located), collaborate with the team during their hours

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $101,490-$150,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
