Overview
Our Product Team is growing as we write the next chapter in Mixbook history! We are seeking a Product Designer for Ecommerce to apply their skills to day-in-day-out excellence and forward-looking innovation. Alongside Product Managers, you’ll collaborate across functions to form product strategies, facilitate design thinking, design new features (while enhancing existing ones), and launch new products. You are a human-centered user advocate who leverages research and data to design impactful experiences that solve customer needs. You are a rockstar teammate with a passion for outstanding usability, beautiful design and delighting customers.
Location
This is a US-based fully remote position, but it may require quarterly travel to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Job Description
Using your background and experience in UX, UI, and user research, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development process from continuous discovery towards Mixbook’s next innovation to delivering final UX/UI solutions for development. You will help imagine and define the way our customers find and buy products with confidence. You’ll actively explore ideas through research, design, and testing — using your insights to drive our vision and enable our engineers to ship great products.

What You’ll Do
- Design simple, elegant, data-driven, human-centric experiences that delight users
- Create low/high fidelity designs & prototypes that drive product discovery and innovation
- Contribute to high-level, strategic decisions collaboratively with Product Managers and Engineers
- Take projects from research/mock-up stage and refine them to high-fidelity visual designs and pixel-perfect deliverables
- Drive the product discovery process through various quantitative and qualitative testing methods
- Ensure a unified customer experience across all channels and touchpoints
- Uphold design excellence by evangelizing our design vision, principles, and strategy
What You’ll Need
- 4+ years of relevant design experience with at least 2+ years of dedicated UX/UI design work
- Strong understanding of the UX design process for consumer products from discovery, through definition, design, and implementation
- Experience designing for Ecommerce is a huge plus (Merchandising strategies (storefronts, PDPs), checkout experiences, express checkout, etc.)
- Experience with common design tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe, Invision, etc.) and prototyping tools (e.g. Framer, Proto, Principle)
- Ability to conduct unmoderated usability testing is preferred; Experience in planning and executing user research is a huge plus!
- Strong communication & presentation skills with proven ability to work and influence cross-functionally with various stakeholders and offshore developers
- A portfolio of case studies that showcase a consistent ability in UX, visual design, product thinking, and storytelling
- Excitement for working in a fast-paced, continuously iterative, highly collaborative, and data-driven environment
- Experience with creation software, mobile apps, e-commerce, HTML, CSS, and Javascript experience are a plus!
