Overview
The Manager, Instructional Design will lead a team that is responsible for design, development, management, and support of course material and training aids for specified needs. This position will design innovative and interactive e-learning solutions incorporating multiple formats and relevant adult learning activities, including web based training, blended learning, and virtual instructor-led material which will systematically and reflectively translate the principles needed to be learned into instructional material that follow industry guidelines. The position will perform needs analysis, develop content and recommend the best training odality to deliver that training in addition to reporting on company compliance training status. The position will work under the guidance of the Vice President of Training and Development to solution traning needs on a corporate wide level.
Job Description

  • Manage a team of Instructional Designers to ensure all learning projects are completed with quality and timeliness.
  • Develop and manage timelines and milestones. Collaborate with internal business partners to validate that curriculum solutions align to business priorities and strategy for operational effectiveness. Participate in peer to peer reviews to ensure consistency, quality, and appropriate use of course content guidelines.
  • Gather information, analyze data trends, identify root cause(s), and provide information to the business or project teams to demonstrate the value or impact of learning and performance solutions.
  • Demonstrate experience with content design and development tools and languages such as HTML, Adobe, Captivate, etc.
  • Develop tools and processes to measure effectiveness of curriculum solutions and learner performance to ensure solutions meet employee skill development requirements.
  • Demonstrate experience designing and developing online, instructor-led, or blended learning programs related to leadership or management development.
  • Guide the business on strategy implementation in the pursuit of business solutions. Acquire and apply intermediate knowledge of the business, its products and processes.
  • Work with L&D Project Manager to demonstrate solid knowledge and understanding of learning project management and full cycle learning and development (e.g., needs analysis, design, delivery, evaluation).
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values.

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Experience Managing an Instructional Design team in a corporate setting.
  • Proficient in the use of tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, Vyond, Adobe Creative Cloud and others.
  • Expert Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
  • Must be a motivational leader with strong attention to detail and able to work independently.
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment.
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management.
