The Opportunity :
As a UX Research Lead, you will play a critical role in driving user-centered design and research efforts within Litera. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth user research, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights to inform product decisions and enhance user experiences. Your expertise in UX research methodologies, data analysis, and user insights will help shape our products and drive customer satisfaction. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on existing and nextgen Litera products and contribute to our success.
A Day in the Life/Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research studies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and competitive analysis, to gain deep insights into user needs, behaviors, and preferences.
  • You'd orchestrate cross-functional alignment around user needs, guide prioritization of high-value features, and play a key role in landing holistic experiences that our customers love.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design and engineering teams to shape product roadmap and vision
  • Balance the strategic and tactical; ensuring the team is solving the most critical user needs while delivering holistic solutions that are intuitive and easy to use
  • Lead research planning , recruitment and execution, effectively building alignment with cross-functional peers and stakeholders throughout the research process
  • Clearly communicate insights and learnings, tying directly to actionable next steps and impact on product direction.
  • Utilize appropriate research methodologies and tools to gather and analyze user feedback and behavior data.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in UX research methodologies.
  • Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to prototype and iterate on product concepts based on user insights.


Role Progression:
Within 1 month, you will:

  • Complete our team onboarding process
  • Learn Litera core values and mission
  • Start building relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Understand our product, business strategy and roadmap
  • Review existing UX research processes, methodologies, and deliverables to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct an initial user research study to gain insights into our current product experiences.
  • Analyze and present research findings to stakeholders, highlighting key opportunities for improvement.


Within 3 months, you will:

  • Develop a comprehensive UX research plan, outlining key research objectives and methodologies.
  • Conduct additional user research studies to validate initial findings and gather more nuanced insights.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to inform and iterate on product prototypes based on user feedback.
  • Work closely with product managers to prioritize user needs and incorporate research insights into product roadmaps.
  • Share research insights and recommendations with stakeholders, influencing product strategy and direction.


Within 6 months, you will:

  • Execute a variety of user research studies, such as usability testing, card sorting, and ethnographic research, to inform product development decisions.
  • Create and maintain a user insights repository to centralize research findings and make them easily accessible to the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize research initiatives and integrate research into the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to develop and evolve design systems and guidelines based on user insights.
  • Present research findings and recommendations to the broader organization, influencing product strategy and direction.


About You:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design).
  • 4+ years of experience in UX research, including designing and conducting user studies and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Saas / enterprise UX research experience preferred
  • Proficiency in UX research tools and platforms, such as usability testing software, survey tools, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation
