User research is at the core of everything we do. We help teams around the world to better understand everything about their users, so they can serve them better. We advise customers directly and have created webinars, podcasts, events, and dozens of templates so any team can get the insights they need in real-time. Now we’re looking for someone to help lead these efforts.

As the Head of User Research, you will engage deeply with our customers, offering them guidance on research best practices and how to get the full value from our rich set tools. You’ll develop thoughtful and relevant content to share with product teams around the world to help them address some of the most critical business problems they face. You’ll represent Sprig online and offline, serving as a thought leader in product research. And you’ll provide input directly into our product, guaranteeing that we’re incorporating and productizing the most cutting edge thinking into our offerings.

About the Role:

  • Advise enterprise customers on research best practices and provide guidance on how to fully leverage Sprig's tool set.
  • Develop consumer-friendly content sharing the utility and necessity of fundamentally sound user research.
  • Provide input and feedback on product roadmaps to incorporate cutting-edge thinking as well as industry best practices into our product.
  • Educate and inform team members across the company on the latest developments in user research and related fields.
  • Pair the quantitative data with qualitative insights to paint a clear picture of Sprig's own customers, highlighting points of friction and opportunities to provide additional value.
  • Design and conduct research to help answer critical business questions that inform key decisions around product roadmaps, company strategy, and more.

About You:

  • 7+ years of research experience in an applied industry role.
  • Deep understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods with experience deploying in multiple environments or contexts.
  • Natural storyteller able to translate complex and academic concepts into concise and digestible takeaways.
  • Experience with survey design, deployment, follow-on analysis, and recommendation generation.
  • Evangelist for the value and utility of thoughtful user research, published content and/or social media following around user research topics a plus.
  • Previous experience providing research or guidance to consumer and business-facing tech companies is a plus.
  • Degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field.
