Role Overview
Reporting to the Creative Director; the Graphic Designer oversees the design and development of digital and print materials for the Great Minds brand as well as guiding designer teams across humanities, mathematics and science curricula teams. This role is accountable for designing the look and feel of all the brands, creating a clear and beautiful user experience, and ensuring consistency across the Great Minds brand. The graphic designer will also work with an art director and copywriter in developing advertising and marketing concepts for use in video, print, social media, digital, and collateral. Success in this role necessitates understanding the Great Minds brand and what differentiates our work from the market.
Specific Responsibilities:
- A strong design aesthetic and conceptual skills.
- Help establish the look and feel for Great Minds enterprise brand and how it interacts with our various curriculum brands.
- Establish new brand guidelines for each of the Great Minds curriculum products.
- Create advertising campaigns: work with a writer on concepting and executing various forms of marketing campaigns including online ads, video content, print and collateral pieces.
- Work with production designers, photographers, videographers, and writers remotely.
- Help guided/oversee other internal graphic designers
Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree required (Fine Arts, Advertising, Marketing, or related fields, MFA preferred)
- 5 + years of experience as an art director; strong design and/or copywriting abilities required
- 5+ years' experience in design, implementing branding, and creative processes applied to environments, print, and digital media
- Ability to problem solve design element issues with the production team, printers and product delivery vendors and re-implement solutions across the design team
- Proven ability to drive brand and creative strategies through an organization
- Contribute top-level design work of one's own, in addition to serving as a leader and inspiration
