iHeartMedia Tech has begun a massive shift in the way we build applications away from fragmented desktop applications towards cloud-native cohesive apps accessible over the Web. In support of that, we are looking for a creative user-experience specialist to spearhead the customer-centric design process, bringing the voice of our users to the fore, in the creation of new customer journeys that are holistic, intuitive, relevant and personal to them. As a Director of UX, you will lead a team of designers, own and deliver the end-to-end user experience for a complete portfolio of iHeartMedia's applications and lead the creation of delightful digital experiences for our employees and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of UX designers
  • Champion the UX transformation of applications at iHeartMedia
  • Solve complex design challenges and create enjoyable digital experiences
  • Work closely with end users, product owners, and delivery teams to understand the full picture, set the vision for the user experience, and ensure the preservation of the original design intent in the final product
  • Deeply understand your audiences through research, testing, personas, and journeys
  • Visualize experiences via wireframes, flow maps, visual mockups, and interactive prototypes
  • Clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to executives, end users, and IT teams
  • Provide thought leadership in design thinking and user-centered design and create tools, frameworks, and patterns that delivery teams will use to build cohesive and consistent experiences
  • Keep abreast of new UX design concepts and technologies



Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a team of UX Designers
  • Experience working with peers and other executives in product management and software development
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating expertise and skill in creating user-centric digital experiences for web and mobile business applications
  • Extensive experience in design research, prototyping and testing designs with users
  • Demonstrated expertise turning design research into tangible, actionable design outcomes
  • Fluency in best practices for web-based and mobile information architecture and responsive design, as well as deep and broad knowledge of usability principles and techniques
  • Ability to establish a data-driven culture and a repeatable, structured and disciplined approach to the UX development process
  • Ability to articulate and justify design decisions
  • Expertise of design tools, such as Figma, Axure, and FullStory
  • Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS and experience in Scrum or Kanban
  • Strong creative, analytical, organizational, and task management skills
  • Relentless attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills to include strategic thinking, communication and presentation, ability to influence others, and accountability



Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related technical field required
  • 12+ years of experience in user centered design, with a focus on digital and end-to-end web/mobile experience design
  • 3+ years of experience in a managerial role
