Instructional Design Specialist
About The Team:
The Data Annotation team creates human-supervised datasets to train, test, and evaluate machine learning models to improve AV technology. We are looking for an instructional design specialist that will play a critical role in improving our dataset quality, helping unlock new AV features. As an instructional design specialist, you will be responsible for the development of our training materials to ensure annotation partners have the clarity and resources required to create high-quality datasets. This includes the creation of annotation instructions, virtual classroom materials, and training assessments. This role reports to the Data Annotation Lead.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and develop instructional materials for our annotation partners, ensuring the delivery of high quality labeling instructions
- Adapt existing training materials to evolving requirements
- Maintain frequent contact with stakeholders and annotation partners to keep annotation guidelines up-to-date
- Maintain a historical log of learning content changes
- Design and develop live virtual learning and classroom materials including slide decks, activity sheets, and facilitator guides
- Onboard new team members and train them to use new tools and understand annotation guidelines
- Develop assessment tests to monitor trainee progress and drive continuous improvement in learning programs
- Stay up-to-date with training and e-learning trends, looking for new ways to remain innovative and effective
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of instructional design or educational content development
- Proficient in image-modification tools and course design software, including photoshop and Google Suite
- Excellent written and verbal skills. The ability to ingest complicated technical information and simplify to ensure audience understanding
- Experience authoring content for ESL audiences
- Bonus: Basic understanding of git concepts, markdown formatting, and AWS
