Summary of Role: 

Based in Plano, Texas, this new college graduate role is for individuals interested in building a career in hardware design verification for RISC-V processors and cores. The engineer will use modern verification tools and methodologies to validate design functionality, develop verification environments, debug failures, and support verification closure. 

Essential Responsibilities include: 

• Review design, microarchitecture, and RISC-V architecture specifications and translate requirements into verification plans and test scenarios. 

• Develop and maintain testbenches, test cases, checkers, assertions, and verification models for processor and core functionality. 

• Execute directed and regression testing, analyze simulation results, debug test failures, and collaborate with design and architecture teams to resolve issues. 

• Develop and monitor functional and code coverage, close verification gaps, and contribute to verification flows, automation, and methodology improvements. 

Other Responsibilities: 

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Education – Graduating with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field from an accredited degree program.  

• Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing. 

• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)  

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Prior related internship or co-op experience. 

• Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc. 

• Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making. 

• Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.  

• Strong written and verbal communication skills  

• Strong planning & organizational skills 

• Knowledge of computer architecture, RISC-V processors, VLSI design, Verilog/SystemVerilog, and typical IP or SoC development and verification processes. 

• Experience with UNIX environments, assembly programming, UVM, scripting, simulation tools, formal verification, or hardware emulation is preferred.
