The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy and help shape the future of smart manufacturing! We’re looking for a forward-thinking 3D Design System Integration Engineer to support the rollout of our cutting-edge 3D Design System for distribution transformers. This is your chance to work at the intersection of engineering, software development, and innovation—bringing digital transformation to life on the factory floor.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new design outputs, optimize product lifecycle management, and drive efficiency across production environments. If you're passionate about technology, problem-solving, and making a real impact, this is the role for you.
How You’ll Make an Impact- Collaborate with process engineers to define system changes for downstream processes
- Develop and test solutions that deliver high-quality data to production
- Evaluate current systems and document required updates
- Lead stakeholders through implementation tasks and timelines
- Work with development teams to integrate changes into future releases
- Maintain and update 3D models, drawings, and assemblies
- Provide technical support to users and development teams
- Support legacy system transitions and future strategy deployments
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in object-oriented programming (C#, C++, Java, Python, etc.)
- 2+ years of experience with MSSQL database programming
- Familiarity with SSRS reports or similar reporting tools
- Experience with version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps)
- Understanding of 3D modeling concepts and design-for-manufacturing principles
