Job Description:

Company Description

Merkle is dentsu’s global leadership brand for business and technology consulting services, driving data-driven, experience-led business transformation. Our expertise spans software engineering, CRM, commerce, customer experience, cloud architecture, data science, and digital strategy — empowering global brands to accelerate growth through customer-centric innovation.

About Merkle Arc

Merkle Arc is our flagship accelerator for unified web and app experiences. By combining a modern React/Next.js architecture, a tokenized design system, and standardized integrations into platforms like Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, Magnolia, and Contentful, Arc enables brands to launch premium content and commerce experiences in weeks—not months or years.

Arc includes automated testing, strict performance guarantees, and the Arc Dashboard, giving technology leaders full transparency across composable, multi-brand, and omnichannel architectures. Find a full feature set under: https://arcbymerkle.com

Arc is also supported by centralized nearshore and offshore delivery teams, ensuring scalable, repeatable delivery across markets and maximum value capture at every engagement.

Our ambition: Arc becomes the foundation behind every CX or commerce build across Merkle.

Role Overview

As an Arc Product Champion focused on Experience and Design Systems, you will occupy a highly strategic, customer-facing role. You are the technical backbone of the sales cycle, helping clients visualize and trust the value of Arc by transforming abstract requirements into tailored prototypes and high-impact demonstrations. Your primary mission is to adapt Arc toward the largest market opportunities by deeply understanding and manipulating its design and token system

You will work across multiple markets (DACH, UK, Nordics, France, Benelux, Spain, Middle East) and support both new business opportunities and replatform/renewal initiatives with existing clients. You are the technical backbone in the sales cycle — partnering with the Merkle Arc leadership, sales directors, and delivery teams to shape winning solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design System Excellence: Serve as the primary hands-on expert for the Arc design and token system. You will spend the majority of your time working within Figma and Token Studio to maintain components, drive adoption, and ensure the system meets diverse client needs.
  • Designer Evangelism & Community Support: Act as a trusted advisor and evangelist for our internal and external design communities. You will support Merkle’s designers by advocating for the design system, representing Arc at innovation sessions/events, and ensuring teams understand how to leverage the platform's front-end boundaries.
  • Roadmap Influence & Product Insights: Directly drive the Merkle Arc roadmap by providing critical feedback to the product team. You will translate market trends, client insights, and technical discovery findings into actionable items for the product backlog, working closely with the VP Product and engineering teams.
  • Experience-Led Demos: Deliver world-class, persuasive demos tailored to a client’s specific brand and use case. You will act as a "hands-on designer" who modifies the Arc environment to help prospects see their "future state".
  • Pre-Sales Leadership & Discovery: Lead technical engagements across EMEA, participating in discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and solution deep dives. You will analyze RFPs to extract key requirements and translate them into architecture proposals and feature plans.
  • Proposal Support: Lead the technical response sections of RFPs and develop technical pitch materials, including architecture diagrams and value narratives.
