Job Description Summary
The Design Studio Consultant plays a unique role in bridging the traditional design consultant experience with enhanced administrative and virtual support. This role is responsible for supporting homebuyers and internal teams through both in-person and remote design guidance, product accuracy, and studio operations. The hybrid consultant ensures a high level of organization, availability, and responsiveness while managing selections and supporting the division across multiple platforms.Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement, Studio Operations & Support
• Host Canvas Plus appointments (virtual) to assist buyers and internal partners with design-related questions or selections.
• Finalize or update selections for Quick Move-In (QMI) homes in alignment with current Canvas offerings, including completing Change Orders as needed.
• Provide responsive and timely communication via email to both homebuyers and internal teams.
• Support daily studio operations by maintaining a clean, organized environment - restocking samples, updating labels, and ensuring displays and catalogs are current.
• May include support of Model Home operations and collaboration with Purchasing on product updates or design accuracy.
Internal Collaboration & Availability
- Attend and support weekly departmental and cross-functional team meetings (e.g., Sales Rallies, Product Trainings, Huddles, Team Meetings).
- Maintain strong collaboration with division partners, offering design insights and solutions that support the sales process and operational efficiency.
Training & Development
- Stay current with design product knowledge through regular huddles and training sessions.
- Provide support and coverage as needed for studio events or new initiatives.
- Collaborate with the national team on best practices and innovation opportunities.
Work Week Structure
- Monday/Tuesday: Division Support Office Days
- Wednesday: Sales Rally, Department Training, and/or Discover Design Day participation.
- Thursday/Friday: Buyer Appointments or other Design Studio support tasks.
*Taylor Morrison experience and/or successful completion of training program may override required education and/or experience requirement.
