The Role

PurposeThe Design Studio Connected Customer Supervisor is responsible for managing the Design Studio product assortment, assortment changes, ensuring all products have displays, executing price changes, and supporting cycle counts and inventory management. This role will also oversee processes related to cashiering, returns, cash office functions, order management, and safety, while ensuring customers have an exceptional shopping experience.   

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Minimum of (1) year of supervisory or management experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in basic mathematical skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Inventory management or merchandising experience preferred

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage the accuracy of inventory within the Design Studio by conducting daily cycle counts, researching and validating all inventory discrepancies and making the appropriate adjustments within Mobile Inventory, maintain all write-offs by working and analyzing the Write Off Log, validate the Not in Stock and Negative Inventory Report, and Cycle Count Variance log.
  • Supervise front end operations regarding cashiering, returns, change ordering, and cash office functions, and ensure all Design studio personnel is trained on Point of Sale (POS)
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding and compliance with all customer service related Store Operating Procedures (SOPs), including but not limited to: Merchandise Returns and Exchanges, Check and Cash Acceptance, Smart Safe, Wire Transfer, Register Opening and Closing, etc.
  • Demonstrate understanding and usage of operational application tools and training of the tools, including but not limited to: Point of Sale, Storage Buy, Mobile Receiving, Mobile Inventory, MMS, and Product Location Tracking (PLT)
  • Manage customer orders at fulfilling stores and follow-up as needed
  • Build relationships with market fulfillment store teams to ensure good communication and customer service for all Design Studio customers throughout the entire shopping and pick-up/delivery experience
  • Ensure Design Studio visual and operating standards meet or exceed company expectations, making sure all displays and areas in the Design Studio are in good condition and safe
  • Maintain and manage a log of needed displays, determining priority and working with the Design Studio Display Builder to make sure all displays are being built in a timely manner
  • Determine assortment changes in the market and submit Studio assortment changes weekly
  • Manage signage updates and weekly price changes, including updating all price signage
  • Manage all Design Studio Samples, ensuring sample quantities are maintained through accurate inventory, that all samples are properly labeled, and manage sample returns process
  • Work and analyze the Monthly Consolidated Report, Daily Variance Log, and Brinks Deposits
  • Perform general cleaning duties and maintain cleanliness and safety of the Studio
  • Perform supervisory functions, including opening and closing the store
  • Problem solve and provide solutions when handling customer issues
  • Partner with Studio Manager to ensure compliance with hiring, payroll, and business planning, budget, and P&L management
  • Assist customers with product selection and answer product related questions

  • Limited travel may be required by car
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY    REQUIREMENTS

Medium Work – Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
