Design Strategy Intern

Pay Rate/Hourly Range:

• The hourly range is $20.00 - $43.00 per hour.

• Pay is based on factors including school year, program of study, role responsibilities, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

· Assist in mapping service blueprints and customer journeys to understand pain points and opportunities for improvement.

· Support the development of research plans and conduct secondary research on industry trends, user behaviors, and best practices in design strategy.

· Assist in stakeholder interviews, contextual inquiries, and participatory design sessions to gather insights.

· Collaborate with UX designers and researchers to refine user flows and ideate new experiences.

· Help analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify key themes that inform design recommendations.

· Document and visualize insights, frameworks, and recommendations in a clear and compelling way.

· Participate in design critiques, feedback sessions, and usability testing to refine concepts and prototypes.

· Learn and apply human-centered design and systems thinking approaches to complex challenges.

Requirements:

· Recent graduate or final-year student with a focus on Design Strategy, Service Design, UX, Human-Computer Interaction, Business Innovation, or a related field.

· Basic understanding of human-centered design, systems thinking, and service design methodologies.

· Ability to translate research insights into wireframes, service blueprints, or journey maps.

· Experience with prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Miro, Sketch, or InVision) is a plus.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas visually and verbally.

· Interest in emerging technologies and their impact on user experience.

· A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and experiment.

· Link to a portfolio or work samples (case studies, process documentation, or design artifacts).

This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in service design and design strategy while working alongside experienced designers, strategists, and researchers on real-world challenges.
